Getting There

We’re very excited to welcome you to Pereira and to “Eje Cafetero”, Colombia’s lush coffee region and an UNESCO World Heritage site.

Pereira holds a special place in Andrea’s heart – it’s where her mom was raised, her parents were married, and her family’s beloved farm once was.

We love the “Eje Cafetero” – as the region is called – and its laid-back vibes and gorgeous landscapes and we can’t wait to share it with you.

For all of the parents and kids joining us in this celebration, fun fact: the Disney movie "Encanto" was inspired by the magic and landscape of this part of the country.

Things to Know

  • To enter Colombia, your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after your departure date.

  • Citizens of certain countries need a tourist visa to enter Colombia. You can check visa requirements via this link. Closer to the wedding day, we kindly ask you to check if any requirements related to your passport country have changed.

  • If you’re coming from Brazil or hold a Brazilian passport, to enter Colombia you must present a proof of yellow fever vaccination. This document must have been issued at least 10 days prior to the trip. As with the visa requirements, closer to the wedding day, we kindly ask you to check if any requirements related to your passport country have changed.

  • You can fly into two airports in the region, outlined below.

Matecaña International Airport (PEI): Located in Pereira, a 15-minute drive from our wedding venue. This is the most convenient option for our wedding location.

El Edén International Airport (AXM): Located in the neighboring city of Armenia, 1 hour 15 minutes from our wedding venue.

  • If you’re planning to be in Pereira just for our wedding celebrations, there’s no need to rent a car.

While you’re in Pereira, Uber is a great and affordable option to get around. You can find recommended taxis in the FAQs section and your hotel will also have trusted drivers to take you around. We do not recommend taking street taxis.

If you’re extending your trip to explore the “eje cafetero,” we recommend renting a car or joining a tourist excursion.
